Traveling alone can be an exciting and adventurous experience for a young person. Nesma Airlines is able to offer guidance and assistance to unaccompanied minors.
Children travelling alone without the supervision of a sibling of 15 years or older, or a parent or legal guardian, are classified as unaccompanied minors. This includes children travelling in a different class or cabin to the sibling, parent or legal guardian.
Unaccompanied minors under two years old will not be accepted for carriage.
Unaccompanied minors over two years old and less than 12 years old will be accepted for carriage provided:
- A Nesma Airlines unaccompanied minor form is completed and duly signed by a parent(s) and/or legal guardian.
- A parent or legal guardian delivers the child at the airport of departure.
- Upon arrival, the legal guardian mentioned in the unaccompanied minors form meets the child at the airport of destination.
We ask that you make sure your child knows of their travel plans and is fully aware of the identity of the person(s) meeting them on arrival. Impress on your child the importance of their passport and ticket. Explain flight procedures to your child. Children traveling alone should know to speak only to Nesma Airlines agents if they need help or have questions, and they should never leave the airport, the gate area or the aircraft unless accompanied by a Nesma Airlines representative wearing an official badge.
We will do our utmost to ensure that your child's experience with us is an enjoyable one.
